Brought to you by the KKK!

I am almost never shocked at the out and out racism of the Republican party, but this is ridiculous! The problem is, whenever we call attention to how racist the Republicans, the Flea-Party, the entire FOX network, far-right radio, religious zealots and most conservatives are, they turn around and accuse us of "crying racism again" or of "pulling the race card". No matter how racist the statement or incident is...it's those who point it out, who are the problem, not the racist comment, act or event. Oh no. It's those who point it out who are the problem. Once again, let's all ignore the problem and those who cause it. Let's all blame the victims instead. Yeah, let's do that!

Newt's nuts.

"Two white supremacists are set to speak at panels at CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Conference that will also feature speeches by Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum.

The first white supremacist is Peter Brimelow the owner of the website VDare, which is labeled by the SPLC as an anti-immigration hate website. VDare has featured the works of noted white supremacists, Jared Taylor, Sam Francis, Virginia Abernethy, Kevin MacDonald as well as conservative pundits, Michelle Malkin and Pat Buchanan."

The KKK approves this message!

I, for one, am sick to death of the way Republicans in 2012 are allowed to spew racist comments, present KKK leaders at their rallies and further divide this nation, without anyone from their side standing up and condemning it! Where are they? Where are the people on the right shouting and screaming for these hateful activities to cease? Where are the protests? These racist leaders hate everything America proclaims it stands for! If these far-right people love America so much, they should have jumped to their feet at CPAC and howled in protest! They should have screamed at the top of their lungs to have all the white supremacists immediately removed from the building! Instead, they sat back and laughed and welcomed each insidious, hate-filled lunatic with open arms! They embraced them warmly and with wholesome smiles. They lovingly welcomed and embraced the haters of Jews and African-Americans, the haters of Hispanics and Muslims. They welcomed the haters with love. They stood to cheer, NOT TO PROTEST, these leaders of hate! They all stood as one and proclaimed with conviction, these are our leaders and we are proud to receive them. We adore them and their words of hate and therefore we place them upon our highest stage.

Anyone who says the Republicans are not racists has to amend that statement as follows: The Republicans are not racists, except for the declared racists we continually and proudly invite to our rallies. No one in the Republican party, in fact, no American can ever again deny the blatant and deeply-rooted racism of the Republican party! It's simply impossible to deny. One cannot say, we are not racists, now please welcome to the stage, our esteemed guests, the Ku-Klux-Klan!

Not a single one of the remaining Republican presidential candidates stood up and spoke out against the rancid insult of having to share a stage with the Ku-Klux-Klan. Not one of them! Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum have both made disgustingly racist comments during this campaign. While Mitt Romney keeps revealing an utter disregard for poor people. In fact, all three of these candidates have witnessed some of the sickest and most incendiary, racist remarks ever heard in a presidential debate on the Dr. Martin Luther King holiday and not one of them even raised an eyebrow. It's sick and it's sad when in the United States of America, in the year 2012, we can all sit back and watch three rich white men run for the highest office in the land, all while making horrible remarks about minorities, the poor and the disadvantaged. These three men have the gall to want to be president, when not one of them has ever lifted a finger to help an ordinary citizen. They have not helped women. They have not helped minorities. They have not helped the poor. These three men have only helped themselves and, of course, their pals who happen to have the wealth, privilege and clout to join them at the country club galas or on a Mediterranean cruise or on the next exclusive yachting jaunt off the coast of Greece or through Port Phillip Bay with the Asia Pacific Regatta. These men all have their Charter Corporate Platinum Memberships in good standing and they're not too concerned about the rest of us.

Has to wait outside, when visiting Republican party headquarters!

No one on the Fox network, no Republican, no far-right radio personality, no religious zealot, no Flea-Party member can ever say again that they are not racists. If you are going to stand against the principles for which this nation was founded in private, have the guts and the conviction to do so publicly! The racist scum you invite to your rallies have the courage to admit their sick-minded stupidity, why can't you self-centered hypocrites find the strength to do the same? You have these twisted scum at your rallies. You hold them up as your leaders. Why not have the guts to admit your racism, just as they do? Everyone on the planet knows you harbor these sick, demented beliefs in your hearts anyway. Why bother keeping up the flimsy charade? Anyone with a brain can see right through it. Why would anyone in 2012 bring the Klan to their rallies, unless they share the same views?

The KKK loves Santorum!

We cannot run from our past! We cannot whitewash the atrocities in our past! We can't pretend that the Native Americans were not slaughtered. We can't pretend that African-Americans were not enslaved. We cannot deny that women were not allowed to vote. We have to accept and face-up to our past. We have to be open and honest about our mistakes. That's the only way to correct and prevent them. Those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it!

Just once, in my lifetime, I'd like to see a white Flea-Party member or a Republican with an ounce of guts, stand up and say, "I am a Republican and, yes, I am a RACIST." Or better still, "I am a member of the Flea-Party and I am NOT a racist and I vehemently condemn the racist people on the CPAC stage, the racist rhetoric being spouting by conservative candidates and all these racist platforms presented by the Flea-Party, the Republicans and conservatives in general!"

Hated by his own party!

If you are a Republican in 2012, you are in league with the Klan. It's that simple. All this blatant racism sickens me to the very pit of my stomach. I only wish more of my fellow citizens were equally sick and equally outraged and I wish they had the guts to stand up and say it.

The understatement of the year!

Brilliant commentary! Another bulls-eye!

Thank you for not letting up.

I have a friend who's a life-long Republican. He couldn't look me in the eye after reading this.

Awesome.

Keep it up!

So true!

I don't think every Republican is racist but you'd think that if you have members of the KKK as guest speakers, someone would freaking notice. I know if I went to any sort of convention and found out that one of the guest speakers was a member of the KKK I'd be leaving in a heartbeat.

We cannot whitewash the atrocities in our past!

We can't pretend that African-Americans were not enslaved.

You wanna bet? Texas is doing it.

Texas Conservatives Win Curriculum Change

The vote was 10 to 5 along party lines, with all the Republicans on the board voting for it.

The board, whose members are elected, has influence beyond Texas because the state is one of the largest buyers of textbooks. In the digital age, however, that influence has diminished as technological advances have made it possible for publishers to tailor books to individual states.

Those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it!

Maybe that is what they are counting on? I am sure that many of them were raised in Sundown Towns and considered it an idyllic type of life.

We cannot deny that women were not allowed to vote

Also, the GOP is focusing on putting women back into their place as breeding stock. At this time, the dress code does not require the wearing of the burka, but could be in the near future. Education for females will probably be limited to home ec.

it's so obvious that the nv has caught republicans dead in the middle of undeniable racism when their rightwing defenders aren't coming on to make their usual weak attempts to cover for them.

funny how they crawled from every rock, nook and cranny to falsely accuse president obama of being racist because he attended the church of rev wright. what was even more desperate they hit the nv post by the hundreds to call him racist because of his remark about "the police acting stupidly" for arresting an african american professor after mistaking him for a burgler in his own home.

the rightwing's silent speaks loud.

Stop The Hypocrisy

I have to agree. When the leading introductory photograph in an article is so obviously (and poorly) Photoshopped, it really does minimize the message.

Yes focus on the semi satirical pictures , that I have seen on many a conservative seed, and ignore that white supremacists are giving sanction and voice at CPAC while no presidential candidate boycotts or condemns them for it...I guess they are granting Brimelows wishes, focusing on white voters...but then that has been the republicans MO since the 1930's

@ stop the hypocrisy # 4.1...

what?! not even an accusations of the "race card" some how being played?

minimizes the message?! only to those of you who want to diminish the fact that the gop is using full blown racism to appeal to the gop's 'base('s)' instincts.

when there's not even a lame defense as 'randy' suggested you just "ignore" it.

Randy and Irene, you're both right!

The GOP will never focus on the issue. All they do is make excuses and point fingers.

You will never see someone from the GOP on national television denouncing the racism in the Republican party.

It will never happen. The GOP is too much a part of the Ku-Klux-Klan's way of thinking. They have accepted and truly believe in the validity of the sick, twisted racism of America's hate groups.

some of those in the gop may not be exactly racists (although i don't think they're too crazy about a black man holding the highest office in the land ) but they're not above using racism to attract the bigots in their party. it's worked exceptionally great for the gop in the south since 1960's.
